If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
McAfee virus scan has been installing on my computer for over an hour now.
The M icon is black. Could it be stuck? I wanted to get off my computer, but
it says I cant shut down until McAfee is finished installing. How long is
this supose to take? Im tired I want to shut down. Please help me. Thank you,

I answered your first post by asking you to do the normal
troubleshooting for viruses and malware per:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

If your computer is already infected, you most probably will not be able
to install a full-featured antivirus like McAfee. Go through the steps
at the link above or take the machine to a professional computer repair
shop (not your local version of BigStoreUSA).
