Common Sense.
If you wish to get more specific (AntiVirus, AntiSpyware, Firewall,
File/Folder Encryption, WebCam with Motion Detection software, etc...) -
perhaps someone could help you.
Also - be sure to mention what operating system, architecture, edition and
service pack level you are running.
Good AntiVirus software: Avira AntiVir and eSet NOD32 (AV Only.)
Good AntiSpyware software: MalwareBytes (free for scanning/cleanup or cost
for active protection.)
Firewall: Most users - built-in Windows firewall.
Otherwise keep your system (OS and all applications) updated, be behind a
NAT device if possible, don't use the computer all the time as an
administrative level user, keep good backups, don't do stupid things.
