I purchased a Belkin wireless 8010 router and set it up for WPA security.
When I try to set up my windows 2000 laptop for this it does not give me a
WPA security option, only 64 or 128 bit encryption. Is there anything I can
do for this.

Use the software from the vendor (ie Cisco, Intel, Belkin) of your wlan
card.
