Attempting to check the Windows security center the following message
appears"The security center is currently unavailable because the "Security
Center" has not started or was stopped. Please close this window, restart the
computer (or start the "Security Center"service) and then open the security
center again." After following directions above nothing has changed, should
I be concerned? I show all the appropriate icons but cannot check the status.

In this case I would run a thorough check for hijackware, including posting
a HijackThis log to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post

analysis, not here.**
