If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
when i turn off my computer, the windows firewall which was in the on
status,is in the off status when the computer is turned back on. Can anyone
tell me why this is happening, and how to solve the problem? Any and all help
gratefully accepted.

Start > Run > services.msc > [OK] > double-click on Windows Firewall >
What's listed in Startup Type?

Do you have a third-party firewall installed, too?

If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
"Automatic" shows in the line under firewall/ICS. I do not have annother
firewall installed.
