Hi all

i have an admin account and a limited user account on my laptop which uses xp

can anyone give me some advice on scanning for infections / spyware etc

if i run the scans in my admin account does it remove infections etc off the
whole laptop or just the admin account ? as when i try to use live update etc
on my limited user account it wont work .

so if i update xp/norton/spybot/adaware etc on my admin account then run a
scan on each does this then protect all the laptop ? if you see what i mean .

also if i update the programs on my admin account is all accounts then
updated ?

thanks in advance for any adviceyou may be able to offer

It depends on the program. Antivirus programs scan globally; i.e., in
all user accounts. Ad-aware scans globally. Spybot Search & Destroy
needs to be run in each user account.
