If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
I had to take off the service pack 2 right after I had installed it now it
shows in the add remove section but shows no size can I just go to the down
load and re install the program or are there other steps that need to be
taken first? If any one coauld help me here I would be ever so greatful

I knew there was a piece of that question that I forgot to get to...

Can you go to Windows Update, select Express (Get high-priority updates),
and apply all offered updates
http://update.microsoft.com


Once that is finished, can you verify the update installs? There are many
pre-requisite files which are needed from windows update and signature update
with XP2 will fail until you have these f!les.

If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
You should be able to reinstall.
If you need to be connected to do this, make sure your firewall
is on without exceptions.
After it is installed you will need to visit Microsoft Update to
get many post SP2 patches.

I recommend you download the service pack and install it from the downloaded
file.
