Please help. When I go into my internet options and change my security
settings. I change them click ok then apply then ok and it seems to change
them but then when I go back and check they have went back to the default
settings. Why? I have also tried the slider and then reset but it does the
same thing. Please help!!!

A lot of security programs will prevent changes to your Internet
settings. Examples are antivirus-security programs, Spybot Search &
Destroy, Ad-aware, etc. Since we don't know what you have installed, we
can't tell you. You need to look at the programs you've got installed
and see if one or more of them is preventing the changes.

One or more options/settings in an ever-growing number of third-party
applications may be disallowing the change(s) from "sticking". These include
but are not limited to Ad-aware's Ad-Watch, Spybot Tea Timer,
SpywareBlaster, SpySweeper, Spyware Doctor, Norton AntiVirus, McAfee
VirusScan and/or Antispyware, and Zone Alarm (Free and Pro).

Here's something else about NAV that you may not be aware of:

I have CA Internet security suite. It is provided by my ISP. I checked it and
everything to do with IE security settings is turned off. I upgraded to IE7
about a week ago and that is when I first noticed the problem. When I could
not figure it out I uninstalled and went back to IE6. But the same thing
happened then as well. I am now back to IE7. This really is making
downloading things frustrating.

When I try to open some pages it blocks it then gives me the option to open
the active x anyway. Usually it does, but when it is from a unknown
publisher it will not is there anyway around that? Thanks for your help so
far by the way.
