Do the drop-down options on the login box allow you to log on as
Administrator of the local machine (not the domain)? The option will
say "This Computer". If so, log on as the local Administrator. If you
don't get that option, go into Safe Mode and you should be able to log
on as local (not domain) Administrator.
Once you are logged in locally, go to User Accounts and make a new local
user account for yourself - not named Administrator but with
Administrative privileges. Then copy whatever data from the "domain"
account you want to the new local account. You will need to log in once
to the new local account before you can copy anything to it.

Then you can delete the wrong "domain" account.
Then from the local account, go to the System applet in Control Panel
and click on the tab "Computer Name". Change the computer status from
being in a domain to a Workgroup.
