If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
At school we protect important WORD and EXCEL files with a pasword.
My question is:
Is it possible to secure a FOLDER in windows with a pasword?

If you have XP Professional, open the Help and Support Center and read about
the Encrypting File System.

If you have XP Home, you'll need third party software.

If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
In NT family Windows versions folder access is controlled by accounts
that have grants to access the folders in their NTFS permissions (assumes
FAT filesystem is not in use).
