I am new to this posting. I hope this is the right place to ask this
question. I have a standalone Windows XP Professional system. I am required
to audit the access of the CD /DVD usage on this system. I have looked in
the Group policy. I have looked at poperties of the device. I have dug
around in the registry. Does anyone have an idea how to have the usage of
the CD / DVD drive get logged to the security log in event viewer (
SecEvent.Evt). To be more specific, I need to know when a person writes
information to the device. Although reads would be nice, the writing is what
we are more concerned about.
