I can not get the Windows Defender application to successfully update ever.
It says it is connecting to the internet to aquire new definitions but it
always fails generating the following error message Defender was unable to
complete the upload: 0x80072efd. I have followed the instructions provided by
Microsoft to resolve the issue but the fix does not work any ideas?

Microsoft Windows Defender is beta product.
BETA means the software is not finished and it is in bug-checking state
however Defender does have bugs in it
Bugs Exist Try Another

At this time support for it is only provided from the specific newsgroups
which Microsoft has created for it

Unless you are paid to keep it , remove it immediately.

Microsoft has established separate newsgroups for Windows Defender Beta2
support and comments. This is not one of them.
