Hello!
Is there a table or some kind of overview of the certification
authorities that are preinstalled in all browsers.
There are so many available and of course I want to sign my certificate
by an ca that is preinstalled in many browser as possible, otherwise I
could sign it by myself. :-) And I could that way do some price comparement.
I didn't find anything like that by google.

Thanks for any help
Maik

I don't know of such a table but you could install a few of the common
browsers and look yourself. Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, and
Mozilla would cover the vast majority of interent browser users. Verisign
and Thawte are two big players and I believe Verisign owns Thawte. The link
below is two a comparison of prices for a web server certificate though I
don't know how current it is. You can find the information out by viusiting
the websites for such companies. Don't necessarily expect to get a bargain
from Verisign as their presence, recognition, and reputation may command and
deserve a premium. --- Steve
