Hello everyone,

My name is John Banghart and I work for the Center for Internet Security
(CIS). CIS is a non-profit end-user organization that develops security
guides for a wide range of platforms which we then distribute freely on
the Internet. Our work is conducted almost solely by volunteer experts
from across the industry. These experts meet through mailing lists and
teleconferences to discuss security best practices and recommendations.
You can learn more at http://www.cisecurity.org.

For the past few years, CIS members and volunteers have been working
with Microsoft to provide input on the Windows XP and Windows Server
2003 security guides. This cooperation has resulted in improved
security recommendations and a reduction in differences between security
guides public by Microsoft, CIS, NSA, DISA, NIST and others.

We currently have an opportunity to provide feedback on the Windows
Vista Security Guide and are looking for experts who have worked with
Vista to participate on this team.

Participation with CIS is a volunteer, community-centric, opportunity
that gives you the chance to share you thoughts and ideas with peers in
an effort to improve security for everyone. The time commitment is only
a couple hours a month.

If this sounds interesting to you, please contact me by email at
jbanghart@cisecurity.org or telephone at 703-716-0199.

Thank you for taking the time to read this email and to consider this
opportunity.

- John

Did you also post to microsoft.public.windows.vista.security newsgroup? (In
case you didn't, I'm crossposting my reply to it.)
