I have a small problem. I am attempting to set perrmissions on a photo
directory in our organization. The problem is that I want all to view the
directory but I do not want them to be able to cut and copy the the photos;
they should be viewed only. Is there any way to set that permission in
windows 2003 server?

Thank you for any help.

That is not available with NTFS permissions.
Read controls access at the source. What they do with
the datum once they have it in memory is controlled at
the viewer - ex. no ability to write anywhere, or digital
rights managed viewer.

Not possible, and if it were pretty useless (print screen, HDC copy etc)

Unfortunately, no. You can make it more difficult by, say
disabling the right click contect menu while viewing the page,
but that will only stop the newbies & lazy, not those who know
anything at all about their systems. I remember "way back when",
discovering all those pics I wished I could copy were sitting
right there in the temp files folder!
I copyright my stuff, but ... that's also pretty useless as a
copy protection. Besides, why put them up if you don't want
people to copy them? AFter all, the whole purpose of the
internet is information... .
You -could- learn to password protect them if they're only for
certain people; it's at least semi-secure that way. Then only
your chosen few can get to them.
