If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
I hadf to run Windows XP and set it up again. Now, I get message that Ser.
Pack 2 has to be installed. I try to install it, but get message it is
already on my computer. It is no longeg listed in my add/remove programs.
How can I straighten this out and get it back on my computer? How

Any service pack should happily run a second time, to update files installed
after it was first run. If it doesn't, you probably have a corrupted
download.

Did you /format/ and reinstall Windows or do a Repair Install?

Have you tried to update manually at Windows Update?
