Hi,

I am trying to implement a corporate policy whereby users cannot take
company data outside the company. This can be very difficult to achieve,
especially when we start thinking that users can send the files by
mail to an external location.

The question is does anyone of you know a way to keep corporate files
inside the company? I was thinking about some group policy that would
forbid an EFS encrypted file from being copied to an non-EFS compatible
partition; this is to prevent users from copying data on their laptops.

I have also check the Windows RMS, but i don't want to invest into such
an infrastructure intensive solution before i have investigated other
alternatives.

Any help/comments would be greatly appreciated..
Thank you.

Its practically impossible if they have internet access, or access to
hardware.

Your main recourse is a legal contract saying that employees should not do
it, and may be sued if they do.
