If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
Say I have a server with a file share on it and a client that wants to
access the share over the internet? How can I encrypt the communication
between the two so as to secure the communication?

I've looked a bit at IPSec but it wasn't clear to me how to set things up.

Server?
Setup a VPN connection.
