Hi -

You'd be much better off posting in microsoft.public.exchange.admin. Mention
your version & service pack level of Exchange, and the name of the
Exchange-aware antivirus product you use (and version thereof). If you don't
have this - you need it. I like ScanMail or Antigen myself.

NB: You shouldn't be basing your scans on file attachment types - the
software should be smart enough to detect viruses regardless of attachment
type.

Also consider using a newsreader like Outlook Express or Forte Agent rather
than the web interface to the newsgroups - it's a lot easier to do nearly
everything there, including searching, which is always a good idea to do
before you post, as well as mark messages to be watched, and filter based on
replies to your posts.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like.
