I have been using MSAS (Microsoft ANTIspyware) since it was released to the
public. There are a number of issues that bother some people but others
understand it's in beta mode and can live with it's idiosyncrasies. If you
don't know about beta products then you might find if frustrating. However,
when it works right, it works very well and is worth the learning curve.
It's a great product and will be a lifesaver when it finally is finished.
The expiry of July 31 will probably be extended according to a person in the
know at MS. Check out the newsgroups that Jupiter Jones mentioned and spend
some time learning about the program before you use it.
If you start using MSAS and find issues, the newsgroups probably have
already published fixes, so read them extensively as there are questions
that are raised multiple times each and every day and get answered (with or
without patience) each and every time. After these many months of public
testing, there are few unanswered issues left.
