That was too many words just to relate you want to pirate software
and that for some bizarre reason you think XP will function better
without SP2....that must be a very unstable XP installation you are
running without the the almost vital service pack two.
You are getting it very wrong, XP must have SP2 and there are
established, reliable and effective freeware anti-virus, system
utillities, and malware tools etc.
Do you really think Symantec/Norton isn't going to detect a key
that has been bouncing around the ether and so many others will
already have tried and failed to use it? You bought the dubious copy
of the already multi-pirated software on eBay and you're a googler too!
I'm afraid I have to warn you to be prepared for failure in your endeavours.

LOL, utter nonsense!

Also, do you have two PC's? Or one and the XP in first post changed to
ME in second post, like your posting nym changed?

I snipped out most of your words but we will just briefly dwell on your
requirement for live update and nortons anti-virus, and your previous
install of SW 2005. Very few applications are "fully" functional straight
"out of the box", most require almost instant patching/updating/registration
etc.
And like yourself, I too also think symantec products are not as bad as
some paint them apart from the now notorious Norton 2006.
So Symantec being one of the major and longstanding players in the
*security* field, if you feel that the tales/myths of others defeating them
are true, and that you too have the wherewithal to also pull the wool
over their eyes, then go for it and give it a try.
Good luck and goodbye.
