I installed Truecrypt's "Cryptainer LE" (with the 128 bit "blowfish"
encryption, whatever that is) on Windows XP.

It created a "new" drive letter with a up-to-100-character password that
seems to be what the OP asked for. It seems that as long as two conditions
are met, you can slide files in and out of that 'virtual' drive.
a) You must have Cryptainer LE 'running'
b) You must supply the password

Once you start Cryptainer LE and supply the password, then the virtual
drive automatically appears in "My Computer". This seems to be what the OP
wanted.

The freeware version seems to be limited to 25 mb which may or may not be
an issue. Then there's that "blowfish" encryption algorithm (what is that?
Is it secure enough?).
