Hi,

I'm using XP Home edition with AVG anti-virus, ZoneAlarm, Prevx, Spybot
S&D, Adaware, and SpywareBlaster - all kept uptodate and regularly executed.
I recently tried to install the critical security patches KB908519 and
KB912919 and both patches failed to install. I've tried removing the
downloaded patches and re-installing - no luck. I've also tried manually
executing the patch installation for KB912919 and got an error message
"Files missing" - but no details beyond that cryptic message.
Any suggestions as to what I should do?
Thanks,
Keith

Try shutting down some of that gaurdianware during the install.
Some anti-invasion software deletes temp files before they get
used to complete the patching.
