I stopped using IE two months ago and only use Firefox. How much
should I worry about getting the MS patches?

Practically every system that uses embedded HTML uses IE, even Active
Desktop. You must get the MS patches, they are effectivly part of the OS.

1) A good number of patches apply to the OS, not just IE.
2) If you download the OS patches, you're using IE to do so.
Worry.

Firefox is pretty cool but don't take your safety for granted. I switched
over last year for a bit and then switched back. Why? I went to the
firefox/thunderbird home page and downloaded some cool plugins/themes...I
sooned discovered that one could drag and drop from the url box...On one
ocassion, I went to my email website portal...I didn't enter my password or
username...Instead, I dragged the URL info to the website page and dropped it
into the page....I was immediately take into my email account without
entering ANY information....Let it be known that I had never chosen to save
any password data before that moment...
The problem may have been fixed and it may be safer than IE (I'm not so
sure)... SANS and other sites regularly notice problems with firefox
also.....

Good for you. It's a nice browser.

Every bit as much as you did before, however much or little that was. The
threats haven't gone away.
You should also now worry about getting the firefox patches about as much
as you used to worry about the IE ones.
