Recently I installed Office 2003 SP3, after the install one of my activex
componets used in an internal web page stoped responding. I'm using Windows
XP SP2, and IE 6 SP2.

The activex is used to encrypt passwords. The object gets created and its
methods can be called. In Javascript the page waits for an event from the
activex. The event gets the encrypted password. The event doesn't fire.

I've used the restore point to narrow this down to the SP3 install. The SP3
has an issue with activex but the work around doesn't fix this issue.

Does someone know of another work around to get the activex to work again?

thanks, John
