Being a system administrator I am logged onto multiple systems at one time.
I go to work on something and I get distracted. I have locked the
workstations, however, I am wondering if there's a way in A.D. (Server 2003
R2 SP1) if I can find out which systems I am logged onto?
I know if you are on the server, you can right click My Computer (Manage)
and find the shares and sessions and files open, and close them out, but what
about systems that I am logged onto.
I am logged on MYPC1 and OTHERPC2 and SECRETARY4 or something. Is there a
way to check if I'm on all 3 or something, and or remotely log me off?

Hi Matt,

I don't know of a way you can do this under AD, but you can use
psloggedon from sysinternals
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/SystemInformation/PsLoggedOn.mspx

This will take you to the pstols download - they're all pretty damn useful!

HTH,

Bogwitch.

You can set allowed logon hours to exclude an hour during the night, and for
forced logoff when this time is reached. That at least prevents someone using
a computer as Administrator indefinitely, which might happen if they realise
the situation, and decide never to reboot.

Better still, use another account which has LOCAL admin priveleges only.
Logging-on as Domain Admin exposes the whole network, including servers, to
attack by any malware on the computer.
