It just started again, after about a year of normal operation, i.e., no
immediate repeats

Location bar new Malware removal tool update available..I download and
install and immediately the llittle icon again shows up in the location
bar.... I reinstall and it again shows, etc, etc.

Is there any solution to thie probleml?

Thanks in advance

Windows version? Is Automatic Updates enabled and functioning properly, and
is the machine fully patched, to the best of your knowledge?
