When running this new version serveral hot fixes MS04-018 outlook express and
Office security update MS05-005 are said to be missing.
I don't even have outlook express installed and if I try to run the hot fix
it fails as it says I haven't got outlook express installed!
The later was applied successfully in the log to an admin Office XP share
months ago and the upgrade applied to all clients.
MBSA 1.2.1 gave me the all clear. Is anyone alse getting these false reports?
Unfortunately it makes it hard to trust the new version, when the old was so
helpful...

Hi Ruth,

Please review the MBSA newsgroup for detailed information about this.

microsoft.public.security.baseline_analyser (something like that)

I've posted at length about this.

I think you'll find you _do_ have Outlook Express installed. Microsoft
force people to have exploitable components on their systems whether
they want them or not.
