If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew how to keep emails from automatically
displaying. If I click on an email to delete it, it will show the contents
in the preview window which I believe may be a security hazard. Is there
anyway make it so that you have to double click to preview an email?

If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
You do this by not showing the Preview Pane. In OE go to View > Layout >
remove the checkmark from Show Preview Pane

...To enhance security I would also suggest you only view emails in text
rather than html....
