If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options This doesn't sound like a security problem so posting here isn't really the
best place to get advice. There's a chance it might not be a problem with
your computer but with your wiring that gets you to the Internet. I could
make some guesses but would need to know whether you're using DSL, Cable
Internet, dialup, etc. Calling your ISP might give some help as well,
depending.
It shouldn't take 45 minutes to install on a new computer. You may want to
use the system restore CDs that hopefully came with your Dell computer.
Downloading and running Hijack This! which you can find in www.google.com on
a different computer, then posting the resulting log to the Hijack This
support discussion site on that web page may be a good idea.
