If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
Windows XP SP1 configured using the DLU and Zenworks.

I am atempting to modify an existing group policy to allow the use of the
left-shift Alt macro to allow language switching in a computer lab dedicated
to Language teaching. I beleive that the existing user policy removing
access to the control panel may be the problem.

The language switching functions normally when logged in as an administrator
with an associated admin group policy.

I am unexperienced with group policy and wish to enable the language
switching while retaining the restrictions on the remainder of the control
panel.

Your question is not really related security and a better newsgroup to post
in would be the Group Policy newsgroup. Having said that you may want to try
to configure Group Policy to enable show only specified Control Panel
applets and then make sure that intl.cpl is included in the list. Note that
hiding access to Control Panel applets will not prevent a user from opening
them by manually accessing the associated .cpl file if they exist on the
computer.
