If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
I am using Windows 2003 server group policy managment and editor. I am trying
to setup a group policy just to test on 1 test user. I have created a new
linked group policy under the IT OU. In GPM I added the user under security
filtering. I seem to have everything setup but the policy is not working. I
set it up just for testing to lockout user after 1 invalid login. I go to my
test comp and try to logon with the test user typing the wrong pass 3 times
and still it will not lock me out. Any idea's?

First, the user object for the account would need to be in the IT OU in
order for it to be affected by a GPO linked to the IT OU
However, you are testing with a policy that is in the Accounts policies,
and these will only have impact on domain accounts when set in a GPO
that is linked to the Domain. When set in a GPO linked to an OU it will
have impact on machine local accounts on machines in the OU

There is a NG for GP issues
