I use Firefox, mainly. I also use Spybot S&D.
QUESTION: Does Spybot S&D work with Firefox, or only with
Internet Explorer?

QUESTION: Does the Immunize feature of Spybot S&D work with
Firefox?

QUESTION: If I understand correctly, the Immunize feature sets
up a "HOSTS" file that prevents access to or from certain bad
websites. If the HOSTS file only works with Internet Explorer, is
there a way I could copy it and set it up to work with Firefox?

Thank you.

Spybot S&D (it's main use) is to scan for spyware. It does this regardless
of what browser you use.

I think only IE and limited Opera support

Spybot protects using other methods (not the hosts file method).

It works with both...

Part of the immunization is blocking bad pages/malware from being installed.
So, yes, it works with both.

The hosts file works with *everything* on the OS. It serves as the first
stage in host lookups (domain name resolution) (the second stage is your
DNS if not listed in your hosts file). So, yes it works with both...
