We have several dc's with one of them configured as an Entreprise CA. We are
moving the server configured as a CA to a new location and no longer need it
to act as a directory server. Can we run dcpromo to demote the machine back
to a member server without effecting its CA services?

Thanks,
John

I think you can. Take a backup beforehand - you'll be able to roll back in
case of a problem!

Tried to run dcpromo and it gives an error saying that you can't demote a dc
with Certificate Services. I guess that answers it.
