If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
AFAIK "hidden" only has to do with whether Explorer will or
will not show it. If your changes will cause a problem depends
on to what you change the permissions.
When changing NTFS permissions via GP, consider making a
GPO specificially for the change, and then unlinking it when
done. If the NTFS settings are within a GPO that carries many
other settings, then whenever the GPO is seen needing a reapply
the NTFS settings will again be visited, which can cause needless
delay if a larger storage is being touched.
