I had iunes it ask for to update..I tryed but when it get to publishing
product information the installation is interupted and then gides you to fix
it. But here's my probelm. It says to go to my computer properties, go to
default properties and check "enable distributed COM on this computer". Then
change "default authentication level" to connect and change "default
impersonation level to identify", but the drop boxes in those 2 area are
emtpy and cant add the text to change it. So i tryed to just click the box
"enable distributed COM on this comptuer" and apply..then it goes to Dr.
Watson postmotem error..I've tryed to repair it with the the cd the pc came
with but it says I have a newer version of windows and doesnt let my repair
or reinstall. PLEASE HELP..its starting to affect other programs I'm trying
to install.

Hi Geneva,
First of all, what version of Windows are you trying to install iTunes
in? And are you logged in as a limited user or an administrator when you
try to install it? Also, have you tried Apple's support site for iTunes?

http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93976 (troubleshooting
installation issues with iTunes on a Windows PC)
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=300361 (Error 1607 Scenario
One) You may find the bottom of the page useful, as it explains how to get
SERVICE and Administrators into the Impersonate A Client after
Authentication box.
