Critical Update downloads - recent AliceZ 04-13-2006

If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
Would anyone be able to tell my why MS decides to 'lump' several Critical
Update downloads together for a single download? This last Critical Update
download page had six (6) downloads and, if I am not mistaken, the same thing
the last time. Why couldn't MS have one of two Critical downloads at a time,
rather than combining six or seven of them? I am sure there are others like
me who have dial-up and have to wait a really long time to download several
Critical update downloads at one time. I can understand it happening every so
often, but as I said, it appears the past couple of downloads have 'lumped'
several Critical update downloads together for download at one time.

If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
Windows version?

Assuming WinXP SP2, you can configure Automatic Updates to only notify you
of available updates (i.e., updates will neither be downloaded or installed
without your approval). This setting will allow you to choose what updates
to download and when to install them.
