If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
Hey .
I am using win xp with service pack installed..
When i have scanned my system using GFI languard scanner..6
i found that my ports 21,80 are open.
I dont have any ftp or webserver running...
I want to close this ports manually any help .....?

If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
If you do not want the port 21 to be visable then turn off your ftp server.
And if you really want to make sure you can disable the ports via the ip
filter advance option tab in your tcp/ip settings under the options.

If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
Go to Control Panel add or remove programs - Windows components and make
sure that Internet Information Services - IIS is unchecked and select next
to apply changes. The free Microsoft tool Microsoft Baseline Security
Analyzer may also be able to identify such uneeded services and help you
remove or disable them. --- Steve
