If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
I recently started at a new company and I am using the PC of the person that
was in this position prior to me. I need to use many of there files and the
had many items on their desk top they used and I would like to use. I tried
to migrate their profile to mine after they left and I started logging on
with my user name. He tried to migrate it logged on as himself the afternoon
he left and it will not allow us to. There must be some security set on his
profile. I am a member of the administrators group. Any ideas?

You would have to logon as an administrator that is not the source or target
profile for the copy using System Properties/advanced/user profiles and be
sure to give your account permissions in permitted to use [for XP Pro]. If
the old user encrypted files in his profile with EFS then you would not be
able to copy the profile without his or the Recovery Agents EFS private key.
You can use the cipher command to see if there are files encrypted on a
computer or in a folder. --- Steve
