If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
I have a Windows 2003 AD network with XP clients. Are my network connections
encrypted? My Logons?

No and yes.
Is everything that travels over your network between your
machines encrypted? No.
Is crytography used for some things? Yes, like the login
authentication exchange where a hash formed from the
password is exchanged and the schannel that may be used
is formed by use of crytographic methods.
