I am going to try some steps to elimate malware from my computer, but I don't
want to take the chance of deleting my important pictures and documents. My
CD burner does not work anymore, and I am wondering what is the alternate way
to store these files.

Any help is appreciated.

A new burner.
Another hard drive
A LOT of floppies.

Preferably a solution that I do not have to spend much money on.

I've read somewhere that floppies are highly unreliable. Most files become
corrupt.

Floppies are both unreliable and insufficient to staore data.

Wrong: Floppies are quite reliable. It's just that you need to
refresh them about once a year to maintain the magnetic
integrity. OLD floppies can be unreliable.
