Ad-aware scanning issues Annek 10-15-2005

If you were  Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
Recently I installed SP2 - since that time Ad-aware is taking FOREVER to
perform the system scan. I have tried to customize it so that it doesn't
scan everything, but even after that attempt the scans still take more than
an hour. Last night I left it scanning and it never completed the scan. I
am not sure if my computer is overloaded with security software (AOL SE, SP2,
etc). If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be more than grateful! Thank you!

What version of Ad-Aware and latest Definitions?
Tried just uninstalling it, rebooting, downloading and installing the latest
version?
