If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
Windows Server 2003 standalone, no AD. Two local accounts in use:
Administrator and Lab. Both are members of Administrators group, both have
passwords. Can log in with either user at the server console.
Using an application that requires shared directory. Shared the directory
from the server end, applied appropriate permissions for both users: Allow |
Full Control.
Try to browse to server, get error message: your user does not have rights
to log in (I'm paraphrasing - it's error 1385, I believe). Went to
Administrative Tools | Local Security Settings | Access this computer from
the network. Sure enough: zero entries in the list. So I "add user or group"
and add Administrator and Lab to the list. Click ok, go to a student
workstation, no problem, I can browse to the shared folder.
I run the install, go to the next workstation, get the same error. Go back
to the server console, Administrative Tools | Local Security Settings |
Access this computer from the network, no entries in the list. Very sure that
I have already done this, I add Administrator and Lab to the list.
This goes back and forth. Access from the network lasts anywhere from a few
minutes to as much as a day. This makes no sense to me and I'm not finding
anything in the KB...any help?
Thanks,
tony
