Hello,

I upgraded the BIOS on my desktop machine yesterday, and had serious
problems. XP Professional wouldn't boot, no matter what I tried.

The single 250 GB SATA drive I have is partitioned in half. The C:
drive was used for XP Professional and applications. The D: drive was file
storage, and on the installation of XP prior to the crash, I had it
configured to store the My Documents folder on the D: drive.

I added an IDE drive, which is now the primary boot disk with XP Pro,
in the hopes of being able to access my files and recover from the crash. I
can see the two drives (now D: and E:) in Windows Explorer, and I am able to
access almost all of the files on both partitions. Unfortunately, I'm
getting an "Access Denied" message when I try to explore the old D:\My
Documents folder. Is there any way to access the folder so I can retrieve my
files?

Thanks in advance,
Brian
