If you were Registered and logged in, you could reply and use other advanced thread options
When I installed this patch on Windows 2003 Server box, it prevents WWW
Publishing service from starting. I also lose my network icons in the task
bar. When I go to the Network Connections in Control Panel, it is empty.
This has happened to two different servers. The second one did not have IIS
installed, but the 3rd party app that was working before, would not start
properly. I also had problems at the windows update site. When i click on
any link, I get a message about changing my Internet settings in IE. The
recommended change was already in place, but I could not install any other
updates or check on installed updates. When I removed this patch and
rebooted, everything works fine again...Anyone seen this before? Not sure
what is happening here. Any help would be appreciated...
