I recently got a virus (windows 2000) and it was capable of disabling
the run button from the start menu, graying out the task manager, and
disable programs like the registy editor. I couldn't start in safe mode
but could log onto my administrative account, With those things
proeviously mentioned restored (however the desktop is blank in all of
the users). Nortan scan and an online scan (houscall?) showed nothing.
How can i restore some of the things such as the registry editor so i
can log onto the normal account that was affected and start restoring
some things? How can i unhide the desktop? What keys in the registry do
i need to edit?

Thanks in advance,
