been recieving pop ups and a spyware call the vitunmudo that i can't get rid
of. please someone help me. pop ups includes ads for cleandriver.com,

I think you mean Virtumundo. It's not easy, but possible. See:
http://wiki.castlecops.com/Malware_Removal:_Virtumundo

You will need to download and run HiJack This.

Please do not post you log here.
If you need assistance I recommend posting your HJT log here:

Let us know how you get on please.

In addition to the above suggestions, you really do need to get an antivirus
program installed on that system. Two good "free for personal use" AV
programs that come to mind are avast! and AVG.

friend that works at best buy for advice and he recommends me to do a system
recovery run..i want to know ur opinion on it..or if you feel that ur way is
easier..i would really apprecipate that you break it down for me..because the
system recovery run seems as complicated..sorry to be a bother. thanks alot

You have been taken and now your computer is infected with some variant
of the Winfixer/Winantivirus/Win* malware.

Go through the preparatory steps here:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

Then do the specific removal steps here:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Winfixer

When all else fails, run HijackThis and post your log in one of the
specialty forums listed at the first link above (not here, please).

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting
this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a professional
computer repair shop (not your local version of BigStoreUSA).

Review the rogue antimalware programs at MVP Eric Howes' site before
ever downloading/installing/purchasing antimalware programs:
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm

You must get a real, full-featured antivirus installed on your machine.
Recommended commercial ones are Kaspersky and NOD32. If you need a free
antivirus, I like Avast.
