hi! Is there anyway that i can make changes to the registry without accessing
regedit? The reason is that my PCs are infected with 2 trojan that has
disabled my access to regedit. I manage to kill the application/services run
by these trojan using "hijeckthis", but it only solve the problem partially.
Now i'm not able to show hidden file and run regedit.

Please advise. Thanks.

Try using Copy and Paste to create a copy of regedit.exe in another folder.
Rename it to xregedit.exe and move it back to C:\Windows, then run it.

Rename is a powerful tool in handling malware on your computer.
For example malware can create files which you do not have permission to
remove. But you can normally rename them so that their start-up mechanism
fails.

In fact I never remove malware from my home PCs - just rename them to
zzxoriginalname. Now I have complete record, and can find them easily.

NOTE: Your antivirus software may warn of a potentially malicious script.
This is normal, as the Windows Scripting Host is used to create the "copies"
of these 3 utilities.

Has anyone checked this utility thoroughly to ensure this is true? Not
casting aspersions, just asking; better safe than hosed! : }

Yes, It uses VB scripting which some antivirus/ malware removers will detect
as malicious. It is safe.
