Hi

My Problem is that on starting windows I get continuous beebs.
then windows starts but the help window opens with it about 40 times.
I also get the message HelpCtr.exe failed to initialize properly.
then its 1 message after another.
I belive I have a boot Virus. but am not sure.
I have seen others with a similar problem but no one seems to have been able
to solve it.

It is not a Sticky button or a problem with windows
I have formated the Hard drive and re-installed windows xp still same
problem
Tried to install win 98 and this message came up

BootSector Write ?
Virus: Continue y/n

this is what leads me to belive that I have a boot sector Virus

any Help much appreciated.

This does NOT sound viral in nature.

Have you tried another keyboard ?

As for...
| BootSector Write ?
| Virus: Continue y/n

Go in Into the CMOS setup and disable the Boot Sector Virus check.
