Two unrelated questions / comment :-

AVG anti-spyware :-
Anyone know what could have broken my AVG anti-spyware - i.e it was causing
"No Windows Disc" - "exception processing message c0000013 etc."
Uninstalled it and reinstalled, and updated, it and it now seems okay.
(..puzzled...)

AVG anti-rootkit
Just spotted this on Grisofts site and have downloaded it for fun. Anyone
know if it should or could be run in Safe Mode - is it any good - is David H
Lipman going to build it into Multi-AV ??? <VBG>

regards, Richard

Hi I''m not sure if this helps I have also been getting this error message
when I start up my laptop but it only seems to happen when I plug my card
reader into my usb port without a card being inserted.

Interesting,
For the past few days on my PC, I've been suspecting that it's a
drive:\pathname to to a Word document on a USB pen-drive - ( drive N:\ in
my case ) ...for which I have a Quick Launch icon. ...I was suspecting that
XP didn't like there being no such drive lettter allocated until I plugged
in the pen-drive. If I clear the "recently used documents list" at Start |
Settings | Taskbar and Start Menu | Start Menu tab | Custonize (Classic
Start Menu) | Clear
...the problem seems to go away, however, I'm not sure about that !! :-)

regards, Richard
